About A. David Peppard

A. David Peppard is an experienced attorney conducting a regional general law practice from his office in St. Joseph, Mo. He has been a lawyer for over 20 years. In his hometown of St. Joseph, Peppard served for five years as assistant city attorney and prosecutor. He was the city attorney/prosecutor for several cities in northeast Missouri, including Memphis, Queen City, and Novinger, Mo. He also taught legal classes at Truman State University and Missouri Western State University.

Peppard graduated magna cum laude from Truman (formerly Northeast Missouri) State University in 1980 with a Bachelor of Science - Education degree in Communications. He was a John J. Pershing Scholar as an undergraduate and is a member of the university's Kirk and Baldwin Societies. After two years as a graduate assistant at NMSU, five years teaching high school and coaching basketball and volleyball in Lathrop and Harrisonville, Mo., and two years working in the private sector, Peppard enrolled in law school.

He graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law in 1992, where he was active in litigation competitions and the Student Bar Association. Peppard is involved in a variety of community activities and organizations. He served on the Truman State University Alumni Association National Board of Directors. He is a past vice-president and member of the St. Joseph Division of the Ancient Order of Hibernians in America (an Irish fraternal organization), a volunteer for various area organizations, and coaches youth basketball teams. Peppard lives in the north end of St. Joseph, Mo., and enjoys boating, live music, and supporting the St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Royals baseball teams, Sporting Kansas City soccer club, and University of Missouri athletics.
